Don't Clamp the Cord - Poster

Poster: Don't Clamp the newborn's umbilical cord, by Donna Young. This is a message that
the neonate's pulsating umbilical
cord for any child, should not be "clamped or hand-squeeze off " before all pulsation has
ceased. Ideally the placenta, the
completion of the child's birth, has been expelled and without drugs (oxytocin) before bothering to
do anything to the child's
lifeline. Revival of a child injured by drugs given the mother during labor (morphine (Demerol)
Oxytocin), can be revived on the
cord, not clamped off. Cords around the neck can be dealt with a sponge or a finger put between
the neck and the cord to
prevent neck injury; otherwise, the child cut off the cord can be seriously impaired (See chow-case-law,
