     Because of trends of hospital to use active management on most women, (manipulation of the birth by drugs and tools), women today are being advised by those of us with bad birth experiences, deceived really not all facts told us for true informed decisions, there is recomended women, of their own informed choice, birth, unassisted. Or, in a birth center, that the professionals are available in another room, and called into the birth room, only if requested by the mother.

    There are no additional cost is to the family if the woman, births at her own convenience in her own home. If in Ontario, Canada, she avoids the risk of SARS. And she use her own clean bathtub.

Avoiding trauma in birth by proper birth positions: Mothers have even been suggested to birth in a forward-sitting position on a clean towel placed in the toilet, too. Or a sideways birth position in the bath tub, if it is large enough. Some mothers have purchased a new toilet base for such a purpose of home births for the mothers ease of forward-sitting births, if the mother does not like a warm water birth. It is imperative the mother births off her tail bone for the birth canal to be opened the fullest.  Flat on the back and semi-sitting birth positions are harmful, closing the birth canal by up to 30 percent. These positions are generally to take control of the mother by birth aids. This must be avoided, even if the mother births unassisted, to have control of her chosen birth position.

Often women have trusted a midwife who then powerplayed by trends taught her, and anxious to try out. In one reported situation, the midwife for a child having difficulty in the birth, the should hung up, like doctors, likely would have done (or they would have cut the woman with a rather large episiotomy, pushed the mother flat on her back andthen proceded to break the child's collar bone.  The child may experience forms of a handicap or arirthist where the bone was broken.  The mother would have preferred an alternating birth position, then this drastic procedure of which she had no control.  The mother did not have a signed birth contract what could or could not be done to her body or to the child's care and treatment during and after birth.  It is wise to have a signed birth contract, long before the child's suggested due date.

THE WISDOM OF WHY A WARM WATER BIRTH?:

If the water is warm and not too hot or too cold, the baby thrives being born into a soft warm water. There is no shock to his/her system of cold air. He/She is coming from a soft, warm amniotic fluid. This water bag should not be broken it protects the child through the birth canal, of disease and ease of birth, and protects the umbilical cord, too, from being compressed.  The child landing in a nice warm water stops the chill of the cold air and causing the child to scream.  Many hospital rooms are cold for the convenience of the hospital staff. But these cold rooms cause hypothermia to the baby who is not immediately put into a warm towel at birth. The baby is put into shock of the cold air and their transfer of the placenta lung-blood may then not adequately transfuse into the baby's now expanding lungs. Lungs take a lot of blood to do the gas exchange and should not be expected to perform with any less volume and pressure then what was in the placenta-lung-blood-bag.  ONLY after the placenta is birthed, after the blood is in the baby, is the placenta a flat cake.  Otherwise, it is a full placenta-lung-blood-bag.  My own definitiion by observation of placenta photos, and diagrams available at my website for educational purposes.

The early clamping trends, used to harvest the baby's deprived placenta blood, stops the circulation from placenta to the child's lungs. The baby does not get the adequate transfusion of the placenta-lung-water-bag into their expanding lungs.  Another reason of a child's utterance of a cry, then going limp, is pain of lack of oxygenated blood to the heart. The heart shrinks, until other sources of blood and oxygen are released. The baby's heart valves then can be damaged, and the foremane ovale may not close for many months, and the ductuc arteriousus may not seal.  These are the risks for any early clamped child.  This is ignorance of the training of the medical person, as well as lack of truthful information provided to the mother and the father during any prenatal classes offered in their community.  There is not good excuse for the medical professionals not knowing this because the visual evidence, how much did the placenta weigh and how much blood was drained from the placenta?  These facts are concealed and deliberately so in each community hospital and/or birth center. They are deliberately left off the infant's own medical chart as to care and attention during and after the child's birth and the management of his/her placenta, the child's organ, not the mothers, the child's blood, not the mother's.  

LEGAL ACCOUNTABILITY IS TO THE BIRTH PROVIDERS:

Those that are involved in the child's birth, are only looking for a living child, and not to protect the baby of full security of person. This means, what is logically in the best interest of the child to do no harm.  Many medical persons are seeking to merely test a child, the Apgar Score. They do so by early clamping and cutting the child from the placenta's flow of blood controlled by the child's heart.  

Those adult's doing this, can be the uneducated parents or the birth person. The parents do it by lack of proper educatioin.  The professional may have concealed motives, such as seeking to hold the child without baggage of the placenta. For their own ease and convenience they have clamped off and cut the cord before the placenta was expelled, naturally, and without drugs given the mother. Those vulnerable not to have all their blood to their own needs are multiple births and the premature babies.  Many bogus reasons are used to clamp the first twin quickly. The only reason to clamp a child cord, is if the cord tore or for placenta previa, and both are rare occasions...requiring an investigation for medical malpractice.

The drugs mostly used in medical institutions for gaining of faster time to complete the child's birth, is oxytocin, or Pitocin.   But the drug, coming under a variety of names, can impair both the mother and the child to future thyroid complications.  And to the child, brain problems.  The thyroid complications may come even 13 years later after a child's birth.  The thyroid damage to the mother may cause her next baby not to be born, normally. Drugs cause the the thyroid problems, likely because of the preservatives in oxytocins, syntocinon, Pitocin, Toesen , such as Chlorobutanol .  (See complications of these man-made drugs at www.lotusbirth.com).

WOMEN ARE NOT TOLD ABOUT SIMPLE BIRTHS THAT DO NOT HARM TO THEM OR THEIR BABIES:

All that is necessary for the successful warm water birth is to take the baby's face out of the water.  The baby is not a fish, but a mammal, and it is impossible to see if the placenta has pulled from the mother's womb.  If the placenta has been caused to pull away prematurely (usually by the giving of Oxyotcin, or gels or creams) the baby is only getting blood transfusion, and not oxygenated blood transfer. Generally, the arteries close down and the open vein of the placenta allows the transfusion of the placenta blood into the baby's now expanding lungs.  The lungs take a lot of blood and will take mostly all the placenta blood that formally did the gas exchanges.  The lungs need that volume of blood that was created for the size of the baby when born, so premature baby's, who have more stem cell blood then do full term babies, should NOT be exploited for early cord clamping. That is deceptively robbing them of their full blood supply and by bogus reasons.  The only reason to clamp any baby from their natural blood supply is if the cord tore or for placenta previa.  They rarely happen and are often a sign of medical malpractice, if they occur.

There is no need to clamp or cut the cord, ever.  In fact, the mother's today, who are approachable and able to be educated on the fact, will find out that the pioneers who birthed in their humble wash tubs, before the 1920's, never tied or cut the cord. The method has been called Lotus birth, after a now deceased, Claire Lotus Day, who wanted a primal birth, too, after observing monkeys doing nothing with their offsprings placenta, that dangled freely until they fell off.

The pioneers wisely followed primal births.  They simply put the afterbirth in a warm towel or diaper.  The pioneers, seeing life born all around them, were squeamish to look at the placenta or even touch it. Modern city women are not so educated but there is no good excuse because of internet access to see the placenta and understand its importance to the child, to leave the cord and the placenta alone, for a natural completion of the child's birth, even for a c-section birth.

CHILD BIRTH IS SIMPLE AND UNCOMPLICATED, REQUIRING NO MEDICAL INTERVENTIONS, IN MOST INSTANCES, IN  93 TO 95 PERCENT OF ALL BIRTHS:

The pioneer women, truly emancipated in childbirth, simple knew to keep themselves warm, and rested and well nourished during labor.  And they knew to birth in the cleanest and warmest room possible and they birthed in a position that was most comfortable to them, and not controlled harmfully by man or another woman. The flat on the back birth positions are Hollywood making and are not natural, nor semi-sitting birth positions, as to the special beds designed by obstetricians, controlling the woman's fate, often of cutting her body, called episiotomy...a ill fate to her for the risk of a virus getting into her blood stream, thus, the child's. It also causes the need of more drugs to stop infections.  This destroys natural bacteria in the mother and the child, and may interfere with natural breast milk feeding and the quality of the milk.  

WARMTH AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT ARE ALL THAT ARE NECESSARY IN NATURAL CHILD BIRTH:

The pioneers women knew intuitively to keep the baby warm in a warmed clean towel, and left they placenta cord untied and the placenta to remain with the child. The wiping of mucus and after birth, was simply done with a clean finger or clean cloth. The respect of care and treatment to the child's placenta is when it is birthed, without drugs, 5 to 15 minutes later.  The pioneers put the afterbirth, the placenta, in a warm towel, too.  There was no rush to tie or cut the cord.  Many waited 12 minutes or longer, even hours, if they did cosmetically remove the cord and the placenta, which was burned or put in the backhouse with lime on it, or planted under a shrub.  Many, pioneers, in unassisted births, wisely kept the baby together, to avoid cord infections, like tetanus.  Tetanus and other super bugs, in most hospitals, kills 500,000 babies, around the world, and in the cleanest of our Western Hospitals by infections in a  cut cord, that take 5 to 15 days to heal.   There is not a risk of tetanus in an unclamped cord. This is because an untied and uncut cord fall off, leaving a perfect navel, in one or two days. So really, which is more convenience and least risk to the child, if the mother is approachable to be inconvenienced by letting the child remain on the placenta and cord, and for good reasons, all a benefit to the child?  

Leaving the placenta and cord alone, for "ALL" babies, is what I call, a biological reciprocal sealed-unit.  They left the baby with the placenta for a day or two, and the placenta just fell off.  The benefits to the child was that the child received full blood transfusion from the placenta to his/her expanding lungs.  There were no hernia caused by something heavy on the child's cord.  And no cord infections got into the baby's blood stream because the cord was neither tied off or cut.  These baby's, not tied or cut off their placenta cord were getting all their nutrients by no interference of their lifeline. Only these babies truly thrived and were the true blue ribbon babies, that God, the Grand Omni Designer meant for all babies to be born equal, in this manner. God did not intend one hair on the child's head harmed, or to be exploited by harvesting the baby's deprived placenta blood, as is the case of what happens when a mother births with the help of any professionally licensed person, today, or in fact, of the last 3 and 4 generations.

THE FUTURE OF THE BABIES WEAKENED BY BOGUS BLOOD HARVESTING TRENDS HAVE THE MOST CHANCE TO HAVE CAREER AND JOB DISADVANTAGES:

If the mother has a professional birth person (male or female) attend her birth, the chances are the baby will not be born equal with equal chances of future job or career competition. The baby by his/her family color, race, social class, by mental or physical disadvantages (physical seen mental disadvantaged assumed), or by the child's sex (male vs female) can be discriminated against and early clamped.  The intent is selling of the deprived child's placenta blood.

The placenta, not watched continuously, may be drained, and this is true, while yet kept warm in the mother's birth canal.  The deprivation of the baby's blood is factually known to be up to 60 percent total blood volume. (See Nurses Manual, that was available in most hospitals library resources, or ought to have been).

The baby may die of shock of low blood volume and pressure, if there is no means to give back the deprived placenta blood. Most vulnerable are the home birthed babies where the medical person clamped the pulsating cord. They only had oxygen to revive the baby...and could not stop the shock of low blood volume, an caused anemic baby (blood loss). The baby blood loss was the deprivation of the placenta blood flowing into the baby's lungs, by the baby's own circulation system controlled by his/her own heart.

The giving back the deprived blood volume, by means of most hospital births to revive an endangered child,  for adequate pressure to seal the foramen oval and help seal the ductus arteriosus (holes in the heart are caused by early clamping) will be at a risk of virus infections. Many human blood contain viruses that cannot all be destroyed in the blood collection methods.  Some spores (virus or molds) in the blood cannot even be killed by excess heat. Bleach may kill them, but what of the bleach in the blood killing healthy bacteria?  And, heat or radiation on transfused blood is known to have killed important enzymes that cause a cell to reproduce after its own kind.  Brain cells and nervous system cells may be damaged and not continue to develop up until the child is of two years of age*.  After that time, undamaged cells just get bigger in the brain and in the nervous system. OXYGEN ALONE WILL NOT REVIVED AN ANEMIC CHILD - BLOOD LOSS:

The giving an impaired and struggling child 100 percent oxygen, alone, will not keep the baby from shock and possible death, or serious internal injury. One hundred percent oxygen, itself, can compromise the child.  All this was provided the child during and after birth but was intended to be meddled with by the current trends and training of the medical persons, including registered-nurse-midwives.  They are being licensed to use creams, and gels, and injections of Oxyotcin. The Oxytocin carries a warning it causes brain damage by the World Health Organization.  There is no safe giving of any cream, gel, or drug to a pregnant woman, ever, at any time, because all can cause to the mother and/or the child an allergic reaction.  This can interfere with the circulation system and the blood or clotting or not clotting of the blood, and the temperature control of their body, and alter dangerously the mother's or the child's pH. Please also note the impaired and damaged children by early clamping off the child's rights to his/her circulation system through the placenta, these are the Canadian Case-laws,  Chow and the Ing case-laws, Ontario, Canada, Sommers and Roth.  

Even over $22 million for these case-laws awards for impaired children (blind, deaf (mute) and paralyzed), the newborn (neonate) has unnecessary endangering of their quality of life, by interference of their blood supply.  No baby need ever be clamped on its cord, or detached.  Not a premature baby, and not a c-section baby.  (See T. Peltonen.  See also Dr. Mavis Gunther's article.  She witnessed, and as do many homebirths, that the child's umbilical cord can pulsate for 20 minutes, and doctors and nurses have no right to amputate this  placenta from the child.  Most hospitals that have allowed births on their premises have been involved in unconsented harvesting of the placentas for selling them to drug, cosmetic, and research companies.  This has been a violation of trust, and must be dealt with per community. Why has the deception gone on in all hospitals birth wards, and around the world, only unassisted babies spared of interference of the child's blood supply, by volume and pressure, determined by itself, if no woman or man clamps or hand-squeezes off this right of the child's.  It is happening, I believe, because the babies are being harvested of the value of the placenta blood. The placenta whole blood is valued per ounce then gold.  If the child needs more blood they do not get their own in the hospital. They get a cheaper blood expander, Ringer's Lactate.  Or, plasma which the red cells, white cells and platelets were removed.  

There is an Australian paid price of a few ounces of stem cell blood of  $30,000 for experimental research paid by most Federal governments, and with Provincial and State and Territory participation too, and with the allowance of endangering a child being allowed by the trends of training licensed by the Colleges of Midwives, Physicians and Surgeons, and including Doula training, and Ambulance Medic Aids, too.  The latter are given a clamping and cutting tool (weapon), and are ordered to take back the placenta in a provided sterile environmental bag.  The parents will never be the wiser how much the medical persons, whether a ambulance medic or a surgeon deprived their child by early umbilical cord clamping.  The motive, I believe, is the harvesting of the baby's valued whole blood drained from the placenta. And the placenta, itself sold for grinding up of further extraction of minerals, hormones, and enzymes.  

Further motive is the blood types are not just the A B O variations and RH negative and positive factors.  In the harvesting of the babies, there is wanting the closest match possible by race mixes and ancestry.  These types of races are most prime wanted for blood:  Asian, Russian-European mix. Why? Most any area that had radioactivity fallout from 1945, to this present date, are prime for blood research, for yet sick persons and their offspring with now blood disorders.  It is, however, not the duty of the newborn baby to supply that blood. Why?  The child is not over age 17 years, the child just born is vulnerable by by mental and physical disadvantages, the child, at birth is not known to be in good health, particularly a vulnerable premature baby; the child is not over 110 pouncs.  These are the ethical guidelines for collecting informed consented donations of blood.  Parents signing Waivers to the hospital to allow early clamping of their baby's blood line, have done so, in ignorance, or they have done so with the hope of also selling their baby's blood on the internet, the money transition, kept confidential. Even wealthy members of their own family, have awarded the parents of the newborn child, money, to have the baby's placenta blood.  The early clamping is the only assurance the baby will be deprived from 60 to 180 ml of blood.  The hospitals, even if the parents do not know that is going on, have been secretly using that blood without informed consent, (breach of Trust and they are protected by appropriate discarding of organ, tissue and blood (blood is a tissue).  The hospitals policies were approved by the local ethics board in each community, and a policy  of using the placenta from the nurseries can be found dated, and the committee responsible for no informed true consent, to allow any baby in the community harvested.

SUSPENSIONS IN THE BLOOD THE LOCAL HOSPITAL IS INVOLVED IN TO DEPRIVED THE CHILD AND FOR WHATEVER REASONS:

In a probable hope of a windfall collection of a special ethnic mix of blood for stem cells, or just a whole blood transfusion into some adult, of whole blood rich in all these blood components:  hormones, enzymes, white cells (fight infection), interferon fights all disease, red cells carry oxygen, stem cells are developing into red cells, plasma, that is rich in proteins and serum.  

Laura Shanley, of unassisted births, even though her father was a doctor, says, as to her own example of unassisted births, that she has no empathy with women birthing with any professional person. Another view was so expressed by the Chair of the Dawson Creek Regional Hospital Board, George Caisley, who also shared if woimen, today, (availability of internet discussions and research) said if women are being drugged in childbirth, or birthing in semi-sitting or flat on the back, or their child injected or early umbilical cord clamped, it is "all" their "own" fault.  You see, women, in child birth get the blame if they are blindly trusting of the medical persons, imposing this or that. This is true whether that medical person withholding their training and intent, are male or female.  The midwives have been cunning and deceptive and organized in a political means of profits, taken from selling the placenta and the placenta blood.  They are no better or an improvement of the concealment of the hospitals and the doctors involved in doing that to any child, they deem has an asset of the type of blood they can use ort sale, or the hospital institution they work in. The trends are secret on this issue of cord clamping. The secrets of the professional arts and crafts were never intended to be released to the public, at large.  Only internet has exposed the lies, deception and organization of the medical societies to do harm, and step aside of all integrity and accountability of their decisions made on this issue, the timing of the clamping of the cord, or if done at all.  The conspiracy of silence of what went on behind the doors of hosptials birth delivery rooms likely goes back to 1901 . . . when the typing of blood was known.  Blood became an important commodity. The ethics of the doctors were to the need of a particular blood type, wanted or known wanted in that institution.  The mother and the baby were just targets, unprotected and the woman exploited by her expected blind trust in the doctors and the nurses to do no harm, and the that the Hospital was to uphold the Standards of Ethics of both nurses and doctors, not put on political pressure of silence to avoid law suits for damages, done to mothers and babies, needlessly.  They knew the babies lived, but were anemic and weaker babies.  If the child died they would allege it to natural complications of child birth. The community Coroner would have connections in the medical associations, to not investigate the timing of the clamping of the cord, and if the child had been harvested, and had more blood taken from the placenta, that otherwise ought to have been in the child.

The parents must file their own Writ of Action to begin the fact finding of the legal system.  Why must they file their own Writ.  Experience has found out that the legal system does not want to change a system that gets them repeat business, so they are not wanting to stop early clamping of the child, that was left a living but weaker child. They were wanting only serious damaged children, at birth, for them to handle.  Not simple breach of trust and harvesting of the babies, leaving a living but violated child.  To stop the harvesting of any baby, the individual actions must be filed by the mother or the father or some relative who witnessed or came to know the child was violated at birth, and needlessly violated of security of person, the blood trapped in the placenta, by a clamp.  That the doctors and nurses and hospital allowed the skirting away of the facts, and destroyed all evidence of the facts, and failed to record proper records of the condition of the cord when clamped and the position of birth of the child, when clamped.  The clamping is the weapon that endangered the child of stopped blood flow into their brain and lungs, and other organs.  The cutting could have taken all day...the damage done by the clamping.

SOME MIDWIVES, HAVE THE LEAST MEDICAL MALPRACTICE COVERAGE, AND ARE NOT BETTER TRAINED, OR ETHICALLY TRAINED, THEN DOCTORS AND SURGEONS ON THIS ISSUE OF THE TIMING OF THE CLAMPING OF THE CORD. BUT OUGHT TO BE BY THE VISUAL EVIDENCE OF THE PLACENTA WEIGHT AND AMOUNT OF BLOOD DRAINED BY EARLY CLAMPING.  THE PARENTS OF THE CHILD, ONE OF THEM MUST WITNESS THE WEIGHING OF THE CHILD'S PLACENTA AND THE AMOUNT OF BLOOD THAT WAS SYRINGED FROM IT, IF THEY ARE PARTICIPATING IN EARLY CLAMPING FOR HARVESTING AND STORAGE OF THE BABY'S BLOOD.

Since I have seen the "talk the talk" and not do the walk of ethical care of many medical persons, including female doctors and midwives, I must agree with Laura Shanley and with George Caisley.  To help educate approachable mothers-to-be (many of them, nor the father-to-be) pay much attention to the actual care and treatment of the mother and child during the baby's birth.  Therefore, for the approachable persons, who will challenge their medical persons of their past care to others, what did they do, give a letter of contact references,  I have set up a Birth Contract suggestion. The Birth Contract of what can or cannot be done to a mother's body in child birth, or to her born baby, is the approachable mother's to-be.  Many women, are not yet strong, or emancipated over their choices of what happens to their bodies.  Many yet controlled by husbands who are indifferent in their dictatorship of going to a doctor to be mutilated in many cases, do not read the threat to the mothers in institutional births. They look at the physical appearance of their baby's, and if not totally floppy at birth from the drugs and early clamping, think things are just fine.  These fathers have not been educated to challenge the medical system, but, as the mothers of the past 3 and 4 generations continue to trust when they should find out the facts on the internet and think is this reasonable.  If a doctor is alleged too much blood is harmful to the baby...it is likely he/she is covering up the blood was made toxic by the chemicals or drug used on the mother's birthing body.  Or injections.  They are risking the child to be caused anemic condition (blood loss) and are assuming low blood volume is better then the child's to have toxic blood, that destroys brain cells. The best thing is to avoid the chemical and drug manipulated birth, by seeking natural birth in warm water births.

The mother should not be threatened by the father power-playing that he has to play any roll of catching the baby.  Many will pull the child and harm the baby, when the baby can come naturally in the warm water, in a natural choice of the mother's for a No-Hand's On Birth. The baby lands in warm water, the mother, herself bringing the baby's face out of the water, immediately, if she births in a position to allow this.  

Natural Birth Education supports the informed choice for warm water births. They are every bit about that no person, not even the father, or the mother, or the medical person present, (if privileged to be in the same room of the birthing mother) touches the child's circulation system.  Again, only if the cord tore or for placenta previa (an operation where a knife was inserted into the placenta or the cord), need a cord be clamped for the benefit of the child.  

These two rare incidents would have to go under investigation why that happened as cords are tough, and doctors are to be competently trained they do not cut the cord or the placenta, in c-sections.  For a cord around the neck, the protector of the child's rights, can assure that merely a finger is placed between the neck and the cord for a cord around the neck, to keep pressure off the neck. The baby's cord is yet pulsating even in a cord around the neck.

Science of facts are the baby is breathing from the yet attached placenta inside the mother's womb.  The baby is getting blood transfer by the action of his own heart, the throbbing in the cord.  When in doubt, go with Natural Birth Education, do nothing at all, but support the mother and child with a clean environment and with warmth.  That is all that is necessary, in most instances, for unharmed natural births.
