bullet1 Question   Depression in children, are they related back to birth care & Treatment?

Depression in children may well go back to cause of lack of nutrients and enzymes because the child was early umbilical cord clamped at birth.  by Donna Young

The link below, to Merck's Web Site , raises concerns, if we are considering all the serious side effects that are being needlessly caused to the children, at birth.  It is not likely the links will suggest the doctors predispositioned the child to depression, by investigating the timing of the clamping of the cord.  The injury will be to like throwing the dice. It is going to be different for each person, this violence was imposed on.  This is because doctors, and midwives, are taking part in a long known questionable practice of doing hasty umbilical cord clamping. Most do it in secret, it like a terrorists attack, just sprung on the child, all with calm, cool, collected calculations, they had a good reason to do that to the baby.  Only if the cord tore or for placenta previa, could any adult par take in endangering a child, or twin.

Not only are the children so victimized, frequently sick, they are at risk to nutritional depression. The medical persons, and the hospital, must be investigated for any involvement with their policies, past and present, in selling the placenta or the placenta blood. Babies must be protected. Many were simply harvested for the placenta and the placenta blood trapped in it.  The hospitals took part in this, too, in most instances.  Many will allege it was okay to burn the blood, that was not okay, either. The blood belonged inside the baby/owner of the blood and not burned, nor donated to another's needs.

The medical persons have allowed themselves to act as agents in supplying the means for others to have what rightfully belonged to the child, blood and his/her stem cells. This is a conflict of interest to the parent (s) by what information the medical person, even the hospital or birth center, failed to advise the parents on the risk taking intended to their child by hasty clamping. No medical policies can conceal such unnecessary risk taking.

Depression is likely a latent disorder because of 20 to 50 percent total blood volume was deprived the baby, at birth. Many times the facts of the evidence, how much remained in the placenta were concealed by doctor and nurse involved in the delivery.  This means a 9-pound infant that only made a total blood volume of 10 ounces (300 ml), was then deprived between 4 to 6 ounces of blood and nutrients.  The nutrients, special proteins, and the means to produce enzymes, may never be made, sufficiently again, for the child's now distressed needs.

It is reasonable to believe there would be enzymes essential to well being and other proteins and hormones missing to create this depression. Many depressions are related to nutrients deficient or hormones. This deficiency, is likely going back to this deed, hasty umbilical cord clamping, causing or creating a disposition to depression.

INJURY TO THE CHILD:

There would be oxygen deprivation to brain cells.  The brain cells and those in the nervous cells were injured, in all probabilities, killed by lack of oxygen and blood going to the brain.  Further, anemic children, by low blood volume and pressure, are not tested for that condition after hasty clamping. Many times the jaundice is caused by too many red cells in their body, by the killed red cells, and the blood in the placenta not there to take those dying cells place.

The anemia test may not be done for years. These violated children may not, then, show signs of anemia until a serious condition is evident.  Anemia must be specifically tested for.  If your child has been hasty clamped check your baby for anemia.  It is a mere testing by a drop of blood.

Here is a portion of Merck's web site on depression in children:

3. A major medical problem affecting the child's body or mind. Depression is often seen in conjunction with chronic medical problems such as severe asthma, head injury, diabetes, and epilepsy. It is more common in children with learning disabilities, hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and autism. 5

What can be done?

The longer depression goes on, the more difficult it becomes to treat. So, if you answered yes to several of the questions above, contact your pediatrician. After examining your child, the pediatrician may refer you to an appropriate psychiatrist or psychologist.
