Red Leaf Raspberry Tea for Easy Birth Labor
SAFER OPTIONS TO CHEMICAL DRUGS OXYTOCIN / PITOCIN
-
Red Leaf Raspberry Tea to quicken and ease labor
discomfort, by Donna Young, Natural Birth Education. Donna is a mother and a grandmother.
(This url for reference
is: www.lotusbirth.com/doc/FEB2003Lotusbirth-255.htm) Revised June 16, 2004.
The Pioneers, who birthed prior to the 1920's, used instead of commercial drugs, and the dangerous side
effect of Oxytocin /
Pitocin, (Syntocinon, Toesen) now commonly used in labor, a strong red raspberry leaf tea. How to
make the concoction is
below. This herbal tea was used for birth contractions and can be used even for the expelling of
the placenta and to stop and/or
control hemorrhage.
The tea, in most situations, was taken just prior to delivery of the child,
when labor began. But it is safe to use at any time. Why
the tea works? Red Leaf Raspberry Tea is an astringent, which is a medicine that
checks or slows down discharges of blood,
mucus, and other secretions of the body.
Astringents work by "contracting the tissues and canals of the body. Physicians
use two classes of astringents, vegetable
(organic) and mineral (metals). The vegetable astringents, like red leaf raspberry tea, contain tannic
and gallic acids and other
substances. The mineral astringents include mineral acids, such as nitric and hydrochloric acids, zinc,
iron, lead, silver, and alum.
The ailments treated for by use of astringents include diarrhea, sore throat, hemorrhage (child birth),
and various mucuous
discharges."
(Ref.: World Book Encyclopedia, Vol. A, p. 790, 1979).
Note by Donna: Minerals used in prescribed chemical drugs in labor may
even contain preservatives of mercury Thimersal /
Thimerosal or chlorobutanol, as oxytocin does of the latter. Mercury in any form, gas, solid,
liquid, is a poison. Check the
manufacturer's label of all drugs used by your local hospital for child birth. Chlorobutanol is
one of the preservatives
acknowledged by the Canadian manufacturer's drug, oxytocin. Oxytocin can be injected full
strength, after the baby's head is
born, and that procedure, is often done without informed consent as to a mother's required signature
for compliance of
appropriate care. The injection of oxytocin, that cuts done the third stage of labor time, and
alleged to stop bleeding, is generally
followed with immediate umbilical cord clamping, on a yet pulsating cord and functioning organ.
This active management is a directive of the World Health Organization because
they are warning this drug, Oxytocin, that
goes by many names, is causing brain damage to the child. Therefore, quickness of the time efficiency
management of the third
stage of labor is, then, directed, too.
W.H.O.'s directives are for pushing down on the mother's stomach and pulling
on the now cut cord, to remove the placenta,
fast. It they do not remove the placenta fast, the oxytocin may cause the stomach muscles to shut down
around the placenta.
The pulling on the cut cord can cause womb inversion and infections. The pressing
down on the stomach may also cause
leakage of the full placenta, trapped with the child's 50 percent total blood volume. Consequently,
the two blood mixing is harmful
to the mother's health and well-being to carry future children full term without complications to that
fetus's health. The next child's
blood may self-destruct. The mother may never ever carry a child full term, again. More
drugs then are used as preventative
measures of the RH blood factors caused by the child's placenta blood mixing in the mother's blood stream.
It is not wise for the mother to birth in institutions with the currently trained
medical persons, following questionable active
management policies. Her only assurance of a natural birth, is if the mother has a signed Birth
Contract of what the medical
persons cannot give her or her baby or do to her body or her baby's. A signed birth contract,
breached, has more legal
accountability to a verbal birth "plan."
(See suggestions for a signed birth contract, a the table of contents, www.lotusbirth.com).
Also see the warning on the man-made drug, Oxytocin below. Do consider to have the nurses give
in written form their statements to entice you to take a drug or
injection during your labor discomfort. Or, a birth witness to write it down and have it signed. Generally, when the mother is in the
most pain, without drugs, is an indication that the baby is soon to be in her arms, in a normal birth.
It is wiser and better for the mother to be moving around and getting in and
out of warm water for labor discomfort then to use
drugs that slow the labor down, as what morphine does; or increase the the labor contractions
beyond imagination, as what
oxytocins can do. This is because the man-made oxytocin is adding to the natural oxytocin, produced,
normally in the woman's
body, during the child's birth. The result is hypertonic contractions, that can pull the placenta
away from the womb. This can result
in a still born, the baby getting no oxygen, or leading to a c-section.
In most situations like these, drugs related, the doctors do not take accountability
for damage to the child in the womb, nor the
midwives. They just say the baby died or was injured due to natural causes, not caused by man
or woman, eh. They will say the
woman signed appropriate care forms implying the woman's own fault, or they will say it is genetic problems,
or they will say
problem unknown cause. They will use as a defence of early umbilical cord clamping any clinical
policies that allowed them to do
impose active management ; but the woman, in most cases did not give informed choice. This
is because, in most instances,
the birthing mother was not told of safer options of natural primal birth care and treatment
and her birth contract signed. The
Primal birth tradition and legal right for this type of birth is now called Lotus Birth (lotusbirth).
THE VALUE OF RASPBERRY LEAVES:
Raspberry leaves contain tannic and gallic acids both used in the use
of tanning leathers, perhaps, for the softening and/or
strengthening them.
The following Magical tea strength was provided in the Rodales Encyclopedia
of Natural Home Remedies, page 379,
who got the secret from a Scotland book, called Dragged to Light by W. H. Box of Plymouth, England,
that stated,
"On one ounce of raspberry leaves pour one pint of boiling water, cover and let steep for 30 minutes.
Strain, and when the time
for delivery is approaching drink the whole as hot as possible. "
The delivery is said to be very quick after drinking this tea. Some women drink
a lighter tea mix, to strengthen their womb
"before" pregnancy. It may even just be beneficial to drink a very hot cup of water, perhaps
a tad of sugar or honey in it too, for
increased strength during labor.
-
Other Information on Red Raspberry Tea:
"One of the reasons that Red Raspberry leaves are so efficacious is that
they contain iron citrate upon which depend the
remarkable blood making and regulating properties in the body. It also promotes the astringing
and contracting action of the
female organs and other internal tissues and organs. The leaves also contain pectin
(apples, eat last thing at night)
which has
recently been found to be a soothing and healing agent, malic acid and other organic acids, calcium
chloride, potassium
chloride and potassium sulfate. Especially in light of these healing potassium
(bananas enjoy one daily)
compounds, which
modern science has discovered to be absolutely necessary for promotion of healing tissue, it is no wonder
that Red Raspberry
(and the other fruits)
is such a wonderful herb for women and especially for mothers-to-be (ShoA:1 13)."

EXPULSION OF THE AFTERBIRTH, THE PLACENTA:
-
I don't see why the same tea drink wouldn't work for
expelling the afterbirth, too. As an astringent is used for
hemorrhage. So drugs for induction of labor or for the placenta to be expelled are not necessary,
and neither is immediate
cord clamping of the child's pulsating lifeline/hopeline. Only if the mother asks to risk cord
infections, may the cord be tied off
and cut, for merely cosmetic reasons.
-
Clamping the umbilical cord is not a medical need, unless there was an accident
that caused the cord to tear (dropped
baby), or for an error in surgery for a c-section, a placenta previa. But, many medical institutions
consider the placenta valued
more then the well-being of the child's rights to all nutrients of the blood and full blood volume and
pressure to be inside the
baby's lungs. Therefore, they do active management policies, of early clamping. They do not tell
the mother or the father of
the child, that the blood trapped in the placenta may be worth $30,000 for a few ounces of stem cells
and interferon, and other
nutrients and hormones and enzymes found in the blood tissue. They do not tell them they are NOT burning
that valuable
contribution to others or science or blood and tissues banks, but are selling the tissues to the highest
bidders, by the
institution, or by private billings of the medical persons in charge. Records of income and expense
are means to confirm the
discarding of any organ, tissue, and blood.
NATURAL REMOVAL OF THE PLACENTA, WITHOUT DRUGS:
-
There is yet another remedy other than taking oxytocin
to produce the afterbirth, the placenta: The Eskimo's stick their
fingers down their throat, and they cough and out pops the placenta, naturally.

Red Raspberry Tea
Can this herb ease childbirth?

author of:
"First recorded in the 1500’s, raspberry leaf tea (Rubus ideas) has been used for centuries in
Europe, China, and both North and
South America. This popular tea has earned the reputation of "herb-supreme" amongst pregnant
women. According to folklore it
can relieve almost any discomfort of pregnancy from morning sickness to leg cramps. And there may be
good reason for its
reputation.
Raspberry leaf is very high in an assortment of nutrients including calcium, iron, and B vitamins, all
of which are very important
during pregnancy. The herb also contains a variety of chemicals -most of which have yet to be identified-
that produce a direct
effect on the pregnant uterus. They have been shown to strengthen the uterine wall, relax smooth muscle,
and help to make
delivery easier and speedier by helping the uterus contract more efficiently.
Historically women have taken raspberry leaf tea throughout their pregnancies up to and including childbirth.
Many mothers extol
this herb's ability to make childbirth easier and less painful. In a letter to the editor of the medical
journal The Lancet, Dr. Violet
Russel wrote "somewhat shamefacedly I have encouraged expectant mothers to drink this infusion.
In a great many cases labour
has been free and easy from muscular spasm."
Some women also drink the tea throughout their labour, or suck on frozen cubes made beforehand. It reportedly
helps expel the
placenta, and its nutritional value is thought to be responsible for encouraging and enriching the mother's
breast milk. Many
women continue to drink the tea long after childbirth as it is thought to help restore the reproductive
system and continue to help
nourish the new mother.
Studies have not yet been done to give us statistical data on the use of this tea, but as more women
and health professionals
discover its potential, its popularity will surely continue to grow. This is one herb that all pregnant
women should have in their
cupboards!
NOTE: Some medical and popular media make reference to raspberry leaf tea as something to avoid during
pregnancy for risk
of miscarriage. This notion stems from a study conducted in 1954 where fractions were isolated from
Rubus sp. and applied in
vitro to the uterine tissues of guinea pigs and frogs. The scientists discovered such things as one
fraction acted as a spasmolytic
whereas another caused uterine contractions. Herein lies the risk of isolating the parts of a
whole. When used as a whole plant,
neither action is exacerbated and the herb is deemed safe. If a mother is prone to miscarriages
she may feel safer avoiding
raspberry until the third trimester. This is an herb with centuries of safe use behind it, there
is usually little cause for concern.

Note by Donna Young: If a mother is prone to miscarriages, she should avoid
any drug with oxytocin added to it, as it is an
abortion drug. Mothers can refuse drugs during labor. It is strongly suggested they do not
allow the hospital to keep the placenta,
but to take it home and keep the placenta in the freezer for forensic testing, should there be latent
complications to the mother's
health or the child's.
There have been situations where mothers have died two weeks after their child's
birth. There were either complications the
drugs injected, or by spinals (air in their blood stream). The drugs can be found in the placenta,
because all drugs cross the
placenta, and can damage the baby's well-being, too.
Militancy of nurses and doctors and labs and Administration of Hospital Policies
imposed without a Court Directive:
If the hospital or staff are being militant that they have ownership of the
placenta (it is very valuable to them), please consider
having this matter resolved, even before the mother gets pregnant by taking the local hospital's policy
or the doctor's for a
Supreme Court Judge's decision of ownership and rights of the parents, the legal guardian to maintain
the organ, by their own
means, even to bury it with lime applied in their own garden area.

WARNING ON THE DRUG OXYTOCIN BY THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION
(1998)
The man-made-Oxytocin drug HAS A WARNING IT CAUSES BRAIN DAMAGE to the child. The warning is by
the World Health Organization. The medical persons are, therefore, directed, by WHO, to do immediate
umbilical cord
clamping. This hasty clamping leads to the baby being harvested of up to 50 percent total blood
volume. This is the child's
valuable placenta blood needed for the expanding lungs. It is all very convenient and the parents are
none-the-wiser their
baby is caused to be weaker. Many will have to be revived. This is about one in sixteen babies
reported "revived" by
Canadian researchers. Any "revived" baby is going to impaired or compromised to the
degree of oxygen debt to the brain
and other organs, lungs, heart, liver and the cells may never secret their normal enzymes or hormones
sufficiently, if the cell
becomes injured or its DNA and RNA mutated.
(See References:
www.lotusbirth.com/doc/FEB2003Lotusbirth-110.htm
The valuable placenta nutrient blood, once deprived the child/owner, may then
be sold to science research and used in
stem cell transplants. This distribution of your baby's blood is done without informed consent. Don't
let it happen to "your"
baby. Natural births, with no drugs, need not have any clamping of the baby's umbilical cord at
all. The clamping and
cutting of the cord is merely cosmetic, unless the cord tore or for placenta previa.
If your medical person(s) will not sign a birth contract not to clamp the
cord, and will not allow warm water births, to relax
the mother, rather then harmful drugs that cross the placenta and hurt the baby, it may be much wiser
to birth in the safety of
your "own" home, unassisted, except by your own loving family. Only these close loving persons
will be respectful of the
mother and give the protection of the child's rights to full blood transfusion from the placenta to
the baby's expanding lungs.
That respect of the human right is not happening to the baby's rights to have full blood transfusion
into their lungs. This is in
most institutionalized births. It has been in these institutionalized births, knowingly of the
government representatives on all
medical boards, where placenta blood has been taken, and secretly, far too long.
Do you really think, as the cord stem blood banks, springing up world wide,
are stating that any hospital burned a
valuable asset of blood by wasting it? Blood is too valuable a medical asset for its suspensions,
nutrients, and various
components of: platelets, plasma, hormones, enzymes, white cells, red cells, and stem cells and so forth.
Please share these concerns with others and the Petition link to Protect Babies
and Mothers, Too, below. Only one by
one can the mothers of today and tomorrow become educated...not by the controlled biology textbooks
and prenatal
classes the common folk are subjected to by the design of the governing classes. Don't be the next women
to be exploited
to produce raw materials -- this the baby's stolen blood. That is what the attitude is of babies
today, a simply raw material
for the placenta blood. They send you home with a living baby, not a healthy baby, that nature
intended if you did not birth in
the controlled State hospitals now privatized for Big Profits. This blood taking is strictly business,
big business, world wide.

the public on medical
policies and practices; also the "No policies" of the various medical associations, societies,
and colleges did not live up to no
form of discrimination to women or the child of any kind.
It is believed these medical associations who thought 'no policy was the best
policy' had a duty to have a policy of equal
protection and security of person, regardless of: age, mental or physical disadvantages ; race,
color, social or marital status of
the pregnant lady ; or belief or faith of the family, or genetic type of blood sought for by medical
researchers, for stem cell
matching, and use of white cells, mature red cells, platelets, enzymes, hormones, and plasma -- all
extracted from the deprived
placenta blood.
Be wise. Don't let hasty clamping happen to "your" baby. Do
have a signed birth contract, about one page long, of what the
medical person cannot do to the mother and/or her baby, even the surgeon in a c-section. All babies
do not have to be clamped,
ever.
Give the medical person(s) a waiver to release him/her of following a false
medical policy. These false medical policies are
merely an alibi so the medical person is not taken to court for assault, battery and attempted
murder. (See SOGC Policy #71,
December 1998 and Policy #89, May 2000 directing hasty clamping be routinely done on all Canadian
babies) Whose side is
SOGC on any way? Bin Ladens??? Conspiracy or Terrorism for profits? ? !!! Think about
the increase in internal sickness from
the 1920's, where disease was not as it is today. Prior to the 1920's the pioneers did not use
drugs during labor, nor did they tie
off or cut the cord, that is the wise ones.
The pioneers had kept birth simple. They put the baby in a warmed towel
and did no tying off or cord cutting. (See Dr. Sarah
Buckley's Declaration). When the placenta was birthed, the pioneers put it in a warm towel too,
and kept the baby and the
placenta as a physiological biological reciprocal sealed unit. My expression.
The cord and placenta fell off within the second day. The baby was a blue
ribbon baby. The baby had all immunities, no cut
cord infections that kill 400,000 to 500,000 babies annually, around the world (WHO). The pioneer
babies are still alive today,
like my parents, 89 and 90 years old, born in 1913 and 1914...they beat the hospital births, behind
closed doors where hasty
clamping began with just the doctor and the nurses participating in what I call an illegal and criminal
act on the babies they
selected hasty clamping be done to.
Most of the pioneer's babies, who birthed during the Second World War, had
to birth being drugged and behind closed doors
of hospitals. Most of these now grandmothers and great grandmothers did not know when their baby's cords
were clamped. This
was true whether they had one baby or fifteen.
Today, the same deception of best practice possible and truth of the fetal to
infant's circulation system is still absent in biology
books and prenatal classes.
See the
fetal to infant circulation system
that the basic course in the register nurses take is absent of such knowledge of the
importance of leaving the umbilical cord alone. This means they cannot notice right from wrong
of what the doctor does, nor
report the facts on the child's own medical charts. What nurse would report battery, eh?
